60 Hour Refresher- Meets the requirements for National Registry of EMTs for recertification as well as state requirements for licensure renewals. This course is ideal for the overseas contractor as the course can be offered in a live, on-line format. If you are only in need of specific topics to round out your CEU requirement, we can provide training in any topic within the 60 hours or hours necessary to fulfill your state's requirements. All training is state approved. For all levels of prehospital responders: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Paramedic.
ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Cardiac care for the adult patients. Principles in ECG interpretation, pharmacology and electrical therapy are stressed. 1-2 day courses
ACLS Review/Preparatory Courses- Designed for those individuals who have never taken ACLS before, or have been lapsed for long periods of time. The custom course teaches the concepts of BLS/ACLS for the American Heart Association as well as education in: advanced airway care, ECG interpretation, pharmacology, electrical therapies, and algorhythm understanding. Much of the program can be taken on-line in 2-4 hour segments, with psychomotor skills scheduled at your convenience. 20-24 hours
Advanced/ 12-Lead ECG Interpretation- 12-Lead ECG interpretation to include a more indepth review of wave morphologies, STEMI presentations, relevance of R wave progressions, and axis deviations. 1 day course 8 CEU
AMLS- Advanced Medical Life Support- techniques in assessment and treatment for medical patients. Scenario-based program with much student participation. 2-day course. 8 CEUs
Basic ECG Interpretation- Basic understanding of electrical movement through the heart. Normal and abnormal rhythms and the significance of what may be seen on the ECG. 1 day course. 8 CEUs
BCON- Bleeding Control- 2-3 hour course on bleeding management. Participants are taught how to control bleeding through use of tourniquets and hemostatic agents as well as basic airway control practices. Ideal for people who may find themselves in situations where rapid response is necessary before the arrival of emergency personnel. 2 CEUs
BLS- Basic Cardiac Life Support- Basic care of the adult and/or pediatric cardiovascular patient. Courses geared for healthcare providers or anyone interested in learning CPR. 1 day course
EMS Safety- Course is centered around the safety issues faced by first responding units. Topics include emergency vehicle safety, patient handling, scene hazards, and personal well-being. Ideal course for new employees to introduce company SOPs. 1 day course. 8 CEUs
EPC- Emergency Pediatric Care- Prehospital care for the pediatric patient. Comprehensive assessments and treatment modalities for pediatrics. 2 day course. 16 CEUs
First Aid/AED- This AHA First aid course meets the OHSA guidelines for businesses in need of First Aid/AED training. First Aid courses may also be developed to meet your specific needs. The custom courses receive certificates of completion only and are not developed through the AHA. 1 day courses
First Response Program- A 15 hour First Response course is available, which teaches the principles/treatment modalities of Hemorrhage, Airway, Breathing and Circulation for the military or civilian contractor who may need to respond in austere environments.
GEMS- Geriatric Education for Emergency Medical Services- Basic and Advanced levels are available based on provider level. This is a great introduction to geriatric patients and the special considerations that must be made in their medical care. Highly recommended for those providers with limited experience with the geriatric patient.
Infection Control- AHA course which will meet state/federal requirements for individuals with potential patient exposures. Tatoo parlors are mandated to be certified as well as individuals who work as ancillary personnel in medical facilities. (housekeeping for example). 6 hour course. 6 CEUs
Instructor Courses- We offer instructor courses in all of the American Heart courses, as well as all other 'LS courses (AMLS, PHTLS, EPC, etc). Candidates may need to complete on-line training prior to the course, obtained a provider certification first, and/or met the program requirements for instructor. Contact us for details.
K-9 Emergency Care- This custom course is designed to educate the provider on how to care for a K-9 in the event of illness or injury. The course was developed with the aid of our local vet, Dr. Curtis Crawford. Some of the topics covered will be basic assessments to include normal vital signs, airway care, circulatory support, medication administration, and specific illnesses/injuries. Live, online program. 4 CEU hours
PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support - AHA course which teaches the principles of pediatric assessment, preventions, treatment modalities and advanced cardiac care. 1 1/2 day course 12 CEUs
Pharmacology and Drug Calculation- Great course for those individuals who may be a little rusty with their pharmacology skills. Review of drug classifications, pharmacodynamics and drug calculation from simple bolus formulas to IV infusions. 1 day course 8 CEUs
PHTLS- Prehospital Trauma Life Support- Prinicples of trauma care, and the effects of trauma on all body systems. Assessments, treatments with focus on rapid care and transportation to the appropriate facility. 2-day course. 16 CEU hours
PEPL- Principles of Ethics and Personal Leadership- provides EMS and Mobile Healthcare (MHC) practitioners at all levels with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively interact with patients and their families, other medical personnel, co-workers, supervisors and community residents at large. 2-day course. 16 CEU hours
Tactical Medicine- Custom made course to educate the EMS provider on how to respond in a tactical or unsafe environments. Even a routine call can turn into a tactical event in an instant. 4 hrs. CEUs- Live on-line course
TECC- Tactical Emergency Casualty Care NAEMT course designed to teach civilian EMS personnel how to respond during a tactical event. 2 Day course- 16 CEU hours
TCCC-AC Tactical Combat Casualty Care- All Combatants - for Law Enforcement, First Responders for Tactical Casualty Care. Instructions on how to care for victims until the arrival of the ambulance and higher level providers. Focus is on care in hostile and extreme situations. 8 hour course- 8 CEUs
TCCC- Tactical Combat Casualty Care- Tactical medical care. Program addresses patient care under fire, tactical field care, and tacevac considerations. 2-day course- 16 hours accredited CEUs for EMS providers.
