Whether you are getting ready to take your first attempt at the National Registry Examination, or having to retest, you should always try to be as prepared as possible so that you have a better chance at success.
Nobody likes to take tests. It is a stressful experience to be evaluated on your knowledge of things that just don't seem to be stuck in your mind as well as you would like them to be. Both the EMT and Paramedic programs are overwhelming with the volume of information you are expected to master-sometimes in a very short period of time. Towards the end of the program, it feels as if everything is all jumbled together to the point that you are not even sure what you need to study to pass finals.
H.E.R.O. Training is dedicated to helping you meet your goal as a licensed EMS provider. After 30 years of experience in training both levels, I have found that a good tutoring session with a different instructor can be instrumental in helping you put it all into perspective. I have also put together a comprehensive study guide that will guide you when you are just not sure what to study when preparing for the licensure exams. Taking practice tests out of textbooks or on-line sites is just not enough.
Tutoring sessions can be structured to meet your time schedules. During that time, we can help you in understanding those concepts that just never seemed to make sense (ie., acid-base balance and osmosis) as well as guide you in how to take tests. Sometimes your knowledge is fine, you just don't know what they are asking in the question.
